Die belgisch-chilenische Band Proyecto Secreto steht für ein äußerst originelles und tanzbares Hybrid aus Ska, Cumbia, Mambo, Klezmer und Latin Swing.
Nachdem Proyecto Secreto Anfang des Jahrtausends eine feste Hausnummer auf europäischen Festivals war, nahm man sich 2007 eine Pause, die etwas länger ausfiel, weil die Musiker auch in vielen anderen Projekten (Antwerp Gypsy Ska Orchestra, Tiny Legs, Badasonics, Skatalites…) aktiv waren und sind.
Das geheime Projekt ist zurück
Doch nun sind sie zurück und haben mit „Alto“ gerade ein großartiges neues Album veröffentlicht, produziert von Victor Rice und mit Gästen wie Vic Ruggiero und David Hillyard (The Slackers).
Proyecto Secreto provide a highly original and danceable hybrid of Ska, Cumbia, Mambo, Klezmer and Latin Swing, which is influenced by the diverse backgrounds of the individual band members from Belgium and Chile.
Alto – The comeback
The magnificent new album “Alto” marks their comeback after taking a lengthy break of more than a decade. It features David Hillyard and Vic Ruggiero (The Slackers) and was produced by Victor Rice, who will, of course, also perform at the festival, with both bands sharing two musicians.
